The city is under attack and its residents must fight, sometimes together and sometimes against each other, for their right to survive. The movie begins with the humans trying to take back the cities that have been overrun by the zombies. The leader of their army is Jon (Trent Haaga) who has a team of mercenaries as his personal bodyguard. Our main character is Mike (Kenny Moran) who is part of Jon's team and has traveled from England to help rescue his fiancee Jane (Jessie Wallace). When they arrive in Atlanta they find out that Jane is already there and working with a local resistance group. As bizarre as all this sounds it it does make some sense within the context of the story and its world building. I will say the movie is not perfect and does have its flaws in terms of how it develops its characters and their motivations. But with that said, I like the way it starts off in media res (in the middle of things) and how it uses flashbacks to fill us in on what happened before that point. The movie has some interesting ideas about how things went down but doesn't go into too much detail about them. Some of my favorite scenes are when Skipper (Simon Phillips) explains his world views to Mikes.
